Prayers for The Future of “Standing Still”

 Hey Guys, What an amazing Homecoming Singing we had this past Saturday Night. The Driven Quartet was awesome and it was such a joy to have Miranda Lance back on stage to sing a couple of songs with us. We feel like the Lord was magnified and we Praise Him for the lives He touched on that night. We want to thank each and every one of you who came out to support us. We love you all so much! Saturday night, an announcement was made concerning the future of “Standing Still.” We know that the message may not have come out crystal clear because it was such an emotional night for all of us, and because some questions just can’t be answered yet. So, just as Jesus used Parables to teach his disciples, here is a parable to better explain what’s going on with our group. Visualize a family of Brothers and Sisters that love each other dearly and have worked together for years growing up together, keeping up their home, and taking care of the family business. Then all of a sudden, they are each called to fight in a war for their country. They are each drafted into a different branch of the military. They aren’t leaving each other by choice, but rather to fulfill the calling on their lives and fight in the areas were they are called. Each of them are fighting for the same cause, they just have to go separate ways to obey God’s purpose. They love each other more than ever and are 100% for each others decisions. With that being said, here is just a brief recap of what is going to transpire after March of 2011: Matt, Tiffany, Ricky, and Ashley will be singing together up until March of 2011. Matt and Tiffany are expecting their 2nd child on March 16th and they will be coming off the road to follow God’s call on their lives and also fulfill their roles as Mom’s and Dad’s. At the same time, Ashley will be returning to her home town of Lumberport, West Virginia to pursue some opportunities that God has brought her way. Ricky will be continuing the call on his Life to carry out the message of the Gospel through song. The group is joining him in Prayer to seek direction on how this calling will be accomplished. Ricky may continue “Standing Still” and find new members to join him in the ministry or he may team up with an existing group. As we all know, God’s timing is perfect and His Ways are perfect too.
